Jeddah Diary
My first book, Jeddah Diary, is a record of the journey I went on in Saudi Arabia when I was sent to teach a workshop there. My attempts to explore the lives of the young women I met, my increasing confusion about the rules of Saudi society and the desire for privacy are recorded in images as well as anecdotes that became the images I couldn’t take.
The work has been exhibited at the New York Photo Festival, at ParisPhoto, at the Jorg Brockmann Gallery in Swizerland, and at Staley Wise in New York.
